Job Title: Banking Solutions Intern

Objective
We are seeking an intern to join Itaú Chile NY’s Cash Management team. Candidate selected will work at the main office located in Midtown NYC for a period of 1 year. This internship opportunity will include, but not limited to, exposure to external clients and networking with NY Branch department heads, management team, and bankers located in Chile, Perú, and Colombia, among others.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
The candidate will participate in a variety of projects, tasks, and structured learning opportunities designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to pursue a career in Banking. This internship provides exposure to multiple disciplines within the organization. Responsibilities will vary based on business needs but will generally include the following:
- Contribute to the documentation of process flows, desktop procedures, and policy updates, including the creation and maintenance of internal materials
- Support day-to-day operational activities within the Cash Management Department
- Assist with requests and inquiries from internal and external clients
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments
- Participate in the automation and improvement of internal processes, including the use of macros
- Support the analysis, development, testing, and enhancement of banking products and services, as well as contribute to issue resolution as needed
Qualifications
- Students currently seeking a bachelor’s degree or graduate students with knowledge and/or experience in Banking, Business, or related
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Power Point) and other relevant tools
- Strong academic record preferred
- Creative and innovative thinkers, driven, ambitious and enthusiastic personalities
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
Preferences
- Graduate or Post Graduate degrees in Finance, Business or Economics are strongly preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written
